… (dot-dot-dot) is a performance-based artistic research project that takes the form of livestream performances, participatory workshops, an installation, and an artist’s zine. At its center is an ongoing relationship between Chrisy, my longtime performance persona, and Chr ii thy, an AI doppelgänger built from my voice, image, writing, and archive. Through a series of public conversations, Chr ii thy coaxes the stutter out of Chrisy while the two draw upon a shared archive documenting my life, continually disagreeing over what it means. Their exchanges explore queer disfluency, memory, appropriation, and the possibility that originality emerges not from inventing something new, but from how we interpret what we inherit. As their relationship shifts, video feeds overlap and separate, image quality fluctuates, and captions stutter and fragment, making their connection visible as well as audible. Audiences participate through chat, while workshops bring queer and disability communities into the project’s research. Materials and ideas generated through these performances, workshops, and public participation are ultimately remixed into an installation and artist’s zine, creating different ways for the project to circulate and be encountered.
