I’m a new media artist who loves to collaborate.

Over three decades I’ve used art, personally as an American cis white disabled queer man, to archive, embody, and critique masculinity in photography, performance, and net art. Where once the revolution was my boyfriend (Bruce LaBruce) Kevin — now radical softness is a boundless form of resistance (GenderFail) as seen on The Chrisy Show.

My art has been part of numerous exhibitions, festivals, and conferences around the world. My porn-novella-zip-file, commissioned by Rhizome, was named by Hyperallergic as the best individual work of Internet art in 2016, acquired by the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art, and exhibited at Graphische Sammlung ETH Zurich in 2019. Rhizome additionally accessioned my Tumblr in 2023. Other highlights include an award from the New Jersey Council on the Arts, honors at Les Rencontres d’Arles, exhibit at Art Book in China, reading at MISS READ Berlin, performance at Palais de Tokyo, review in Art in America, and profile in Elephant magazine.

My collaborations include a one-person live stream performance that I evolved into an artist streaming collective through the support of an Eyebeam fellowship and NEW INC membership with awards from Meta Open Arts, Gray Area, Goethe Institute, and the Federal Foreign Office of Germany. is this thing on? will be exhibiting in 2025 at the Museum of the Moving Image in partnership with Onassis ONX. For the International Center of Photography, I co-produced a year of queer programming with publishers GenderFail and Larker that featured work by Allison Parrish, American Artist, Molly Soda, Morehshin Allahyari, Nora Khan, and Porpentine Charity Heartscape.

My editions, including a trilogy for TROLL THREAD, can be found in the libraries at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, Graphische Sammlung ETH Zurich, Library of Congress, Walker Art Center, International Center of Photography, The Poetry Collection at the University of Buffalo, School of Visual Arts, Wendy’s Subway, 本 hon books, and Printed Matter.
